The backsplash is the cheapest square footage in a kitchen and the most visible. We install ceramic and porcelain subway, glass and metal blends, natural stone mosaics — and full-height stone slab backsplashes cut from your countertop material.

Tile gives you pattern, texture and color at a lower cost. A full-height slab backsplash — the same stone as your counters run to the underside of the uppers — gives a seamless, grout-free look that is easier to wipe down behind a range. We do both, and we will price both.
We plan the layout so cuts land in the least visible spots, keep courses level to the counter rather than the uppers, and finish outside corners with Schluter trim or a mitered tile edge instead of bullnose where the design calls for it. Grout color changes the whole look — we sample it against your counter first.
The area behind the cooktop takes the most grease and heat. Non-porous glass, porcelain and quartz slab are the easiest to keep clean there; honed natural stone looks beautiful but wants sealing and a gentler cleaner.
Most kitchen backsplashes are a two-day job: set the tile one day, grout and seal the next.
It should coordinate, not match exactly. A common approach is a quiet backsplash with a busy stone, or a patterned backsplash with a calm counter. Our vision board page shows combinations that work.
