Ideal For

Smaller Projects That Still Deserve Stone

Vanity Tops

A remnant is often the perfect size for a bathroom vanity. Get the look of full-slab granite or quartz at a fraction of the price.

Laundry Rooms

Add a durable folding station or utility sink surround without the cost of a full slab. Remnants make small utility spaces feel finished.

Fireplaces

Hearths, mantels and surround panels are ideal remnant projects. Choose from unique colors and patterns that elevate the room.

Wet Bars & Coffee Bars

Compact bar tops and drink ledges are a great match for leftover stone pieces, giving you a custom built-in look on a budget.

Why Remnants?

Big Savings on Premium Stone

Remnants are the leftover portions of larger slabs. They are first-quality stone, just in smaller sizes. That makes them a smart choice for compact surfaces where a full slab would be wasted.

Save on Smaller Projects

Remnants are leftover pieces from larger slab jobs, so you pay less while still getting premium stone.

Typical remnant sizes and what they fit

Remnants come off finished kitchen jobs, so most pieces are 25 inches deep — standard countertop depth — and vary in length. Here is what each size range usually covers. Inventory changes weekly, so call (253) 315-2129 to confirm a piece is still available.

How it works

From measurement to installed top

  1. 1. Send your measurements

Text or email the length and depth of the surface, plus the sink or faucet plan. A phone photo of the space helps.

  2. 2. We check current stock

Remnant inventory turns over weekly. We tell you which pieces actually fit your size in the material and color range you want.

  3. 3. See the piece in Auburn

Every remnant is one of a kind, so we recommend viewing it in person at our 180 37th St NW showroom before you commit.

  4. 4. Template and fabricate

We template on site, then cut, polish the edge and make your sink and faucet cutouts in our own shop.

  5. 5. Install

We set the top, seam if needed and seal natural stone. Most remnant jobs install in a single short visit.

FAQ

Countertop remnant questions

Do you have countertop remnants near me?

Our remnant inventory is at our Auburn, WA showroom at 180 37th St NW, about 25 minutes from Seattle and 20 from Tacoma. We fabricate and install remnant tops across King, Pierce, Snohomish, Kitsap and Thurston counties.

What sizes do countertop remnants come in?

Most remnants are 25" deep — the standard countertop depth — and run anywhere from about 20" to 8 feet long. Narrow strips 12" to 20" deep are also common and work well for hearths, sills and bar ledges.

Will a remnant fit my bathroom vanity?

Usually yes. A standard single vanity needs about 25" x 22" to 25" x 49", which is the size range most kitchen leftovers fall into. Send us your vanity width and we will tell you what is in stock that fits.

How much do countertop remnants cost?

Remnants are priced per piece rather than per slab, so they cost significantly less than buying a full slab for a small top. Price depends on the material, size and edge work — call us with your measurements for an exact number on the pieces that fit.

Are remnants lower quality than full slabs?

No. Remnants are first-quality granite, quartz, quartzite and marble left over from larger jobs. The only difference is the size of the piece.

Can you install the remnant, or is it pickup only?

Either. We can sell the piece fabricated to your measurements, or handle the full job — template, cutouts, edge, install and sealing.

How often does your remnant inventory change?

It changes weekly as kitchen jobs come off the saw. If you do not see the color you want today, tell us what you are after and we will let you know when a matching piece comes in.

Can I use a remnant for a small kitchen or island?

Sometimes. Pieces around 30" x 40" and up can cover a compact island, kitchenette or ADU counter, but they are the first to go. Call ahead to check availability.
