Taj Mahal is quarried in Brazil and shows up in bundles that range from nearly plain cream to noticeably veined with warm gold and grey threading. Some lots pull more beige, others closer to white. That is why we lay out your exact slabs before cutting — seam placement and island layout matter more on Taj Mahal than on a uniform quartz.
Most homeowners land here comparing Taj Mahal to Calacatta marble or a warm-veined quartz. Against marble, Taj Mahal wins on durability: it is a much harder stone that stands up better to daily kitchen use. Against quartz, it wins on depth, because the veining runs through real stone instead of a printed layer. The tradeoff is that it is natural, so it needs sealing and it costs more.
We digitally template after demo, review the layout with you, then cut, polish and set the tops. Typical timeline from template to install is one to two weeks. Edge profiles, mitered waterfalls, undermount sink cutouts and full-height slab backsplashes are all done in-house, and we seal the stone before we leave.
Yes. Taj Mahal is a true quartzite, so it is harder and more durable than softer stones while still reading warm and soft like a marble. It handles daily cooking, hot pans set down briefly and heavy island use once it is sealed properly.
It is dense, but it is still natural stone. We seal every Taj Mahal install and recommend resealing every one to two years. Wipe up oil, wine and citrus reasonably promptly and use a cleaner instead of a bleach or vinegar spray.
Taj Mahal usually sits in the mid to upper quartzite range, above most granite and quartz. Final pricing depends on square footage, edge profile, cutouts, backsplash and the specific bundle available when you select. We quote from your measurements at no charge.

Taj Mahal is the warmer of the two — creamy ivory with very soft golden-beige movement — while Sea Pearl leans cooler with grey-green veining. Taj Mahal pairs easily with white, cream and wood cabinets; Sea Pearl suits cooler grey palettes. We can lay both side by side in the showroom.
For a working kitchen, usually yes. Taj Mahal gives you a similar light, warm look but it is a much harder stone that holds up better to everyday use. Marble is still a beautiful choice for baths and low-traffic areas.
